Sun Salutations to Start the Day with Connection and Energy
A fun morning yoga practice for kids. Begin the day with gratitude, movement, and uplifting, mindfulness music. This video introduces children to a series of yoga poses, traditionally known as sun salutations.
Multiple studies have shown that incorporating movement and exercise at the beginning of the day for children aids in healthy development, improving memory, concentration, and positive outlook. The series of poses repeats 3 times so children can become more and more familiar with the flow and sequence of the yoga postures.
This video helps kids get a great start to the day—connecting to the natural rhythms of nature, using their bodies and minds to give gratitude to the sun, to the Earth, and their life-giving properties. Every day is a gift, and this practice helps children remember the miracle (and fun!) of life.
