the weewoo world

Penelope Dullaghan is an accomplished, acclaimed artist/illustrator with a penchant for expressing joy through form and color.

She works in children’s publishing, editorial, and advertising, and dabbles extravagantly in any medium she can find — especially  printmaking and cut paper. No matter the method, though, she creates images distinguished by simplicity and guided by curiosity.

Penelope is honored to be the artist who brings the WeeWoo world to life, inviting kids into the magic of their own hearts and to be explorers of the wonderfully ordinary and naturally enchanted world around them.

Her website and blog can be found at www.penelopedullaghan.com. And you can find her on Instagram @penelope_dullaghan.

In her survival kit :

  1. A sense of humor
  2. Snacks, water bottles and a travel mug of coffee
  3. Sketchbooks and pens. My special “Scribble Game” has saved many a mood.

Her mantra :

A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.” – John A. Shedd

This quote has guided me almost my whole life. It has inspired me to keep learning when I need to grow. To keep exploring when things get tough. And to open up my sails and catch the wind when life feels like flow.
